Between May 10 and 12, Ph.D. Gheorghe Fulga, the Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service, paid a visit to Germany, at the invitation of Mr. Heinz Fromm, the President of the Federal Office for Constitution Protection.

The points that were approached during the talks referred to the cooperation between the two services on subject matters related to the fight against international terrorism and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

Management concepts and mutual structural particularities were also discussed, with a focus on the analysis of the organizational formulas that could result in an enhanced effectiveness of the specific activity.

At the same time, an analysis was made of the measures to be taken by the SIE and the BfV in the current European and international security context, characterized by increased terrorist threats in the Euro-Atlantic area.
